First World War : Four men teamed up to build the world’s biggest industrial mill, Grands Moulins Réunis
1918
Grand Moulins Réunis joins forces with other major players from the milling industry, then merges with Grands Moulins de Paris (created in April 1919 and managed by Ernest and Marcel Vilgrain).
1921
The first bag of flour comes off the mill’s production line. Ernest and Marcel Vilgrain, as directors of Grands Moulins de Paris, create the biggest mill in the world.
1979
The company acquires Société de Spécialités Surgelées (SSS).
1983
Creation of Délifrance
1989
Grands Moulins de Paris (GMP) is acquired by Groupe Bouygues.
1998
Bouygues sells GMP to a group of investors lead by AXA Investment Managers in Paris.
2001
NutriXo Group is created through the milling activities of Grands Moulins de Paris, Euromill Nord, Grands Moulins Storione, Inter-Farine and Délifrance’s frozen bakery activities.
